HEALTH & WELLBEING
The Gurdwara’s Health and Well-being team is made up of local professionals who are voluntarily supporting the Sangat to achieve a healthier lifestyle and wellbeing.
Good health is about the mind as well as the body - feeling physically fit, and feeling good about ourselves, means that we can go and achieve more of the things we want to do in life.
Staying in good health is important to all of us and can become particularly important in later years. The best way to stay healthy - physically and mentally - is by learning how to take care of yourself, and about the support you can get to help with any health problem you might already have.
We uphold our Sikh principals and encourage the use of prayer and meditation to alleviate depression, anxiety and other mental illnesses.
However, there are times when specialist support is needed and therefore there are organisations that can help you achieve good mental wellbeing and physical health.
If you need to talk to anyone confidentially regarding health or any lifestyle issues, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and a member of the team will contact you as soon as possible.
